Animation Agora Days for the 2nd consecutive year in Athens!

For the 2nd consecutive year, the Animation Agora Days event was successfully held on 27 & 28 June, in collaboration with the AKTO Art & Design College and the support of Enterprise Greece, at the premises of AKTO in Kypseli

On the first day of the Animation Agora Days, Stella Kirimi, CEO and Chairwoman of the Academic Committee of AKTO and Anastasia Dimitra, Director of the Animation & Interactive Media and Game Design departments of AKTO welcomed the participants. Following their welcome, the coordinator of the ANIMASYROS Agora, Marineta MAK Kritikou, presented the highlights of this year's Agora programme. Subsequently, Aimé Besson, the audiovisual media attaché of the French Institute of Greece, and Maria Anestopoulou, artistic director of ANIMASYROS, spoke extensively about the strategic collaboration between ANIMASYROS and the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) of the Annecy Festival that will be launched this year within the framework of the Agora Pitching Forum. The first day concluded with a particularly interesting masterclass presented via video call by Stelios Polychronakis, award-winning director, production designer, and senior lecturer at Nottingham School of Art & Design.

On the second day, Sofia Beretanou, Director of Communication of the National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication, Zoe Kandylla, Director of Production Development of the Greek Film Centre, Fotini Nakou, Head of the Creative Industries Department of the Investment Approach Directorate of Enterprise Greece, Fokion Xenos, director, animator and secretary of ASIFA Hellas, and Dimitris Savvaidis, producer and treasurer of ASIFA Hellas, participated in the roundtable "Greek animation in the global marketplace". Immediately afterward, the Chairman of ANIMASYROS, Vassilis C. Karamitsanis, presented, via video call, the legendary European animation Emile Awards, which will mark the beginning of this year's ANIMASYROS on Monday September 23.

The two-day event of Agora Days concluded with the great Greek Animation Party held in the courtyard of the AKTO Art & Design College.
