Screenings for schools in Apollo Theatre

Animasyros invites students and teachers to follow the journey on the animated world in a screening programme specially designed for children and teenagers.

20/09: Louis and Luca – Mission to the Moon (Rasmus A. Sivertsen, Νορβηγία, 2018, 80’’)

In the international race to the moon, the Norwegian mission is led by brilliant inventor Reodor from the village of Pinchcliffe. With Luca the Magpie as the brave astronaut, what could possibly go wrong? The screening is supported by the Athens’ Norwegian Embassy

21/09: Captain Morten and the Spider Queen (Kaspar Jancis/Henry Nicholson/ Riho Unt, Εσθονία/Βέλγιο/Ιρλανδία/Αγγλία, 2018, 80’’)

In the framework of the section on Baltic Countries, the famous esthonian director Kaspar Jancis, presents the 10 year old Morten mistakenly shrinking by a wizard and stays trapped on the deck of the ship with the vicious Spider Queen. The screening is supported by the Athens’ Esthonian Embassy.

22/09: Icarus and The Minotaur (Carlo Vogele,  Γαλλία/Λουξεμβούργο/Βέλγιο, 2021, 72’’)

On the island of Crete, in Minoas, years, there was a bay full of dreams name Icarus. One day, he discovered a mysterious creature with a man’s body and Taurus’ head, the Minotaurus. When the king asked Ikarus’ father,  the famous inventor Dedalus, to work on a secret project, Ikarus realized that his new friend might be in danger.

The school screenings will take place at Apollon Theatre in Ermoupolis, on the island of Syros. They are free and you will need to register on education2@animasyros.gr.
